An experienced pharmacist is needed to support a new Oncology Infusion Center at a hospital in Gold Beach, Oregon. This travel assignment involves working in a hospital pharmacy setting specializing in oncology treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy
- Prepare chemotherapy medications following strict safety protocols
- Compound hazardous drugs carefully to ensure patient and staff safety
- Collaborate closely with oncology nurses and providers to support infusion patients
- Utilize EPIC for medication and patient documentation
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree required
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License (RPh) required
- Current experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital oncology center or infusion center
- Proven expertise in chemotherapy medication preparation
- Skilled in hazardous drug compounding procedures
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts
This travel position allows time for candidates to obtain their Oregon pharmacist license, with a start date in June. The contract duration is 26 weeks.
