Retail Staff Pharmacist - Lufkin, TX

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist position is available to cover a maternity leave in Lufkin, TX, from December 2026 through February 2027. This contract role offers flexible shifts within store hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing options to work a full or reduced schedule based on your needs.

Schedule/Hours:

• 1st Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (with possible early leave at 4:30 PM or 4:00 PM)
• 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with possible early leave at 5:30 PM or 5:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Uphold core organizational values and deliver exceptional customer service aligned with company mission.
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions from authorized prescribers.
• Provide accurate information on drug interactions, side effects, dosages, and storage to patients and prescribers.
• Maintain quality assurance processes, manage controlled substance security, and oversee hazardous drug disposal.
• Manage pharmacist-related phone calls, retrieve messages, and handle prescriptions from voicemail.
• Provide patient counseling when required or requested.
• Resolve customer conflicts professionally in person or over the phone.
• Note: This location does not provide vaccinations or medication therapy management services (MTMs).

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Texas pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to adhere to all pharmacy laws and regulations.
