This position supports interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes and ensure strict regulatory compliance.Location:31 Moody Rd, Enfield, CT 06082Schedule:MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM ESTJob Type:Full-Time, Temporary Contract Short-term assignment: March 13thApril 12th (possibility of extension)Responsibilities:Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to regulations Monitor specialty drug therapies and recommend clinical interventions when needed Deliver comprehensive patient counseling on specialty medications Oversee pharmacy technician activities and documentation to ensure quality and compliance Maintain adherence to rules and standards from State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, HIPAA, ACHC, URAC, OSHA Collaborate with Intake, Reimbursement, Quality, Nursing, and Pharmacy departments Support prescription fulfillment processes, referral coordination, and patient onboarding Participate in on-call rotations as required Keep licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements up to dateQualifications:BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited institution Active, unrestricted Connecticut Pharmacist license Solid knowledge of specialty therapies and patient qualification protocols Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Experience:3 years in Specialty, Infusion, Hospital, Retail, or Mail-Order Pharmacy settings Experience working with pharmacy technicians and interdisciplinary clinical teams Familiarity with specialty payer contracts and operational processes Experience with CareTend software preferred Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificationCore Competencies:Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail Strong regulatory compliance expertise Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Effective communication and leadership abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities efficientlyThis short-term contract role is an excellent fit for licensed pharmacists looking to contribute their specialty pharmacy expertise in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
