A full-time pharmacist is needed to provide coverage for a pending leave of absence at a dynamic health center with multiple in-house pharmacies. This contract opportunity is based in Glen Burnie, MD and offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, outpatient pharmacy setting.
Location: Glen Burnie, MD
Contract Duration: Approximately 2-3 months starting 6/22
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Deliver typical outpatient pharmacy services including prescription verification and patient counseling
- Manage pharmacy technicians and support staff effectively
- Administer vaccines and immunizations to patients
- Maintain efficiency in a high-volume environment
- Utilize pharmacy software (ScriptPro; training provided)
- Support compliance with 340B program requirements (preferred)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting
- Strong leadership skills to supervise technician staff
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required
- Familiarity with 340B program highly preferred
