A full-time pharmacist position is available on a contract basis to support a busy outpatient pharmacy at a prominent health center. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist experienced in retail pharmacy operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing pharmacy technicians and counseling patients.
Location: Columbia, MD
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays
Contract Duration: Approximately 2 to 3 months, starting June 22
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform typical outpatient pharmacy duties, including patient counseling and medication dispensing
- Manage and collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians
- Administer vaccines and immunizations as needed
- Utilize ScriptPro pharmacy software; training will be provided
- Support a patient-centered environment aligned with health center pharmacy standards
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience required
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with 340B pharmacy program preferred
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Strong communication and organizational skills
