Position Summary:
Were searching for a Quality Assurance leader with a strong background in compounding pharmacy operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, ideal for a QA professional with hands-on experience in 503A environments. The Director of Quality will oversee regulatory compliance, ensure robust quality systems are in place, and lead readiness for audits and inspections. This role is essential to the ongoing success and compliance of the facility.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead quality efforts across QA, QC, and compliance functions
Ensure ongoing adherence to USP <795>, <797>, <800>, FDA guidance, and state pharmacy board standards
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS): SOPs, CAPAs, deviations, risk assessments, and change control
Monitor and adapt to regulatory changes; revise procedures and training accordingly
Direct and participate in audits from regulatory bodies and third-party organizations
Schedule Details:
Monday through Friday (8-hour daytime shifts)
Flexibility required for variable start or end times based on operational needs
What Youll Need to Qualify:
5 to 7 years of experience in quality roles within pharmaceutical compounding
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a QA/QC function
Comprehensive knowledge of USP chapters <795>, <797>, <800>, and 503A compliance
Proficiency in managing regulatory audits and inspections
Familiarity with QMS platforms, document control systems, and data integrity standards (21 CFR Part 11 experience a plus)
