Clinical Pharmacist - Travel Contract - Sidney, MT
Summary:
Sidney Health Center is seeking two Pharmacists for full-time travel assignments. This independent critical access hospital provides care across ER, OB, ICU, OR, and med-surg units, and also operates a retail pharmacy on site. We are looking for pharmacists with strong inpatient backgrounds who are comfortable stepping into a dynamic role that includes both clinical and retail coverage. Contracts are available for 13 or 26 weeks.
Schedule:
Hospital: 7:00am-5:30pm, with on-call duties outside of regular hours
Full-time, 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities
Retail: Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm (occasional coverage)
Responsibilities:
Provide direct pharmaceutical care for patients across hospital departments
Verify, dispense, and adjust medications based on clinical needs
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop safe, effective treatment plans
Educate patients and staff on medication use, interactions, and side effects
Support regulatory compliance, compounding, and inventory management
Assist retail pharmacy operations as needed, including patient counseling
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily workflows
Requirements:
Active Montana Pharmacist license
Proficiency with EPIC
At least 2 years of recent inpatient hospital experience preferred
Willingness to cover on-call hours and float to retail pharmacy
Availability to start promptly upon compliance completion
