An opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy who will also serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a hospital setting. This is a contract position based in Huntington, WV, offering a chance to lead and manage pharmacy operations while providing clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill staffing and administrative duties associated with the PIC role
- Manage daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance and quality standards
- Participate in onsite training provided by the outgoing Director of Pharmacy
- Provide on-call coverage following each shift and on weekends to support pharmacy services
Required Qualifications:
- Valid West Virginia pharmacist licensure
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings
- Familiarity with Omnicell systems is highly preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills necessary to oversee pharmacy staff and processes
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- On-call responsibilities after each shift and weekends
