Job Overview

Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle for the transportation of goods, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of items during loading and unloading processes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in driving techniques.
- Assist with the movement of goods using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize routes and improve delivery efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role, preferably in a courier or commercial driving capacity.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe handling practices.
- Experience operating vans or similar vehicles, including proficiency in manual transmission driving.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Knowledge of load unloading procedures and best practices for transporting various types of goods.
- Previous experience in moving services is a plus but not mandatory.
