Duties
- Safely operate your own box truck to pick up and deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups, including route logs and delivery receipts
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients professionally and addressing their needs courteously
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift to maintain optimal safety standards
- Manage route schedules efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining flexibility for unforeseen circumstances
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with route driving expertise
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving goods safely
- Proficiency in operating box trucks with manual transmissions and familiarity with forklift or pallet jack operation is a plus
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving cargo regularly
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and route optimization
