Position Summary (major areas of contribution):
We are a sign manufacturing company specializing in the fabrication and assembly of large-scale custom signs and metal frame structures. The Assembler, under the supervision of the Assembly Lead, is responsible for assembling sign components, metal frames, and hardware according to shop drawings, specifications, and work orders while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
Connect parts into more complex components. Will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
Read and understand instructions represented in manuals, blueprints, drawings, schematics etc.
Follow established procedures
Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Check output to ensure highest quality
Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Skills:
Assemble metal frames, sign structures, hardware, and related components
Read and interpret detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
Ensure all assemblies are completed accurately and meet company quality standards
Inspect completed work for fit, finish, alignment, and functionality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Work collaboratively with production team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines
Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience (type and amount of experience required):
Previous manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, metalwork, or construction experience preferred, but not required
Passion for fabrication and hands-on production work
Basic knowledge and experience using hand tools and power tools
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with metal materials and components
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
0–2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication experience preferred
Prior experience in sign manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, or warehouse production is a plus
Familiarity with basic shop tools and safe work practices preferred
Willingness to learn and follow production processes required

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. when necessary
