Position Overview:
We are actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team!
This opportunity is perfect for compassionate, self-motivated, and energetic individuals who are eager to support individuals in their journey toward independence. This job requires medication administration- We provide this training although it is UNPAID.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Guidance with daily activities exploring other events and fun things to do in the community therefore (you must have a reliable vehicle with unexpired auto insurance/registration/inspection) to take this individual out in your car to go roller skating, bowling , gym, shopping. Provide guidance as needed with their personal goals while promoting independence and community engagement.
Support participation in small outings and community-based activities.
Create and maintain a positive, person-centered approach to care.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals at all times.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
Ability to work legally in the United States.
Comfortable with community-based support and engaging in local outings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Person-centered mindset with a positive attitude and open-mindedness.
Passionate about working with individuals with disabilities and promoting independence.
