Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being tailored to individual needs.
- Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury.
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations while respecting residents’ rights and confidentiality.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings using personal transportation methods when required.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities—including developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders—is highly valued.
