Duties

  • A childcare office assistant provides administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of a childcare center, serving as the primary point of contact for families, staff, and visitors. This role typically balances front-desk responsibilities with various clerical and organizational tasks, and may occasionally involve supporting in classrooms.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an office environment with strong clerical skills and familiarity with office management procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and basic computer literacy
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clients
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, medical or dental receptionist, or personal assistant is advantageous
  • Attention to detail for proofreading documents and managing data entry accurately
  • Knowledge of time management techniques to meet deadlines efficiently
