USD 71,000 – 80,000 per year, plus an additional USD 6,000 per year shift differential for 2nd shift (USD 500 per month).​

Job summary

Alliance Laundry Systems (our client) is seeking a Press Production Supervisor to lead and support our stamping press department on the weekend night shift in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment. You will be the first‑line leader for your zone, coordinating day‑to‑day activities to meet production requirements, driving a strong safety culture, and developing an engaged, high‑performing team.​

Schedule

  • Weekend 2nd Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.​
  • Additional workdays may be required based on business needs.​

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all activities in the stamping press department to achieve production volume, quality, and on‑time delivery targets.​
  • Champion a safety‑first mindset: enforce safety policies, conduct safety audits, and lead root‑cause investigations for incidents and near misses.​
  • Ensure team members receive up‑to‑date safety training and use required PPE; promptly address unsafe behaviors or conditions.​
  • Model servant leadership by coaching, supporting, and empowering operators and technicians; recognize contributions and foster a respectful, inclusive environment.​
  • Train, mentor, and cross‑train team members; oversee attendance, conduct, and consistent application of company policies.​
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and interface with Union Stewards on contract and discipline matters.​
  • Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and optimize manpower and machine utilization to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.​
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing) to reduce downtime, scrap, and process bottlenecks.​
  • Analyze production performance and collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering to resolve quality, tooling, and equipment issues under tight timeframes.​
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and safety records and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.​

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a closely related field (a combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered).​
  • Proven history of leading teams with a servant leadership mindset.​
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.​
  • Previous manufacturing supervision experience, preferably in high‑volume stamping press operations.​
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.​
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making skills.​
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.​

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time.​
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.​

Preferred qualifications

  • Additional experience supervising stamping press or metal‑forming operations in a high‑volume environment.​
  • Experience leading Lean/continuous improvement projects (5S, Kaizen, etc.).​
