Job SummaryThe Press Production Supervisor will lead operations within a high-volume stamping press manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, production performance, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a servant leadership culture. The supervisor will oversee daily press operations, support workforce development, and ensure aggressive production targets are met in a fast-paced consumer goods manufacturing setting. Strong emphasis on safety-first culture and servant leadership philosophy. Role requires physical activity including standing for long periods, bending, stooping, manual dexterity, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Union interaction is part of the position. Continuous improvement and Lean principles are central to performance expectations. Job ResponsibilitiesChampion and enforce a safety-first culture through audits, training, and root-cause investigations.Supervise all stamping press department activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery are achieved.Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and optimize manpower and machine utilization.Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing projects.Analyze downtime, scrap, and process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.Train, mentor, and develop team members including cross-training initiatives.Manage attendance, conduct, and employee relations issues while interfacing with Union Stewards regarding contract and discipline matters.Maintain accurate production, safety, and quality records and report KPIs to management.Collaborate with quality, maintenance, engineering, and other departments to resolve issues efficiently. Required QualificationsProven ability to lead using a servant leadership mindset.Minimum of one to three years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.Previous manufacturing supervision experience, preferably in high-volume stamping press operations.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations.Previous professional, internship, or co-op experience in manufacturing environments.Experience working in unionized environments.
