This is a PRN role for a clinical study starting October, 2025, with training and onboarding initiating prior.
Position Summary:
The Ophthalmic Technician will perform advanced ophthalmic imaging techniques, such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Fundus Photography. The imaging will be completed within an internal medicine practice and will not be used for diagnostic purposes, but will serve as the comparator to newly developed Artificial Intelligence (AI) Imagine Devices looking to diagnose various disease states. The images will be sent to ophthalmologists that are provided by the research trial.
Position Detail:
- Project-based PRN depending on trial needs.
- Days and times will fluctuate week to week, but can be determined in advance based on the individual's schedule.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology.
- Sound knowledge of ICH/GCP and Regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and FDA and HIPAA policies and practices.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- Experience in measuring IOP, performing CDVA and retina imaging, and with pachymetry required.
- Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmology Assistant certification strongly preferred.
- 1 years of ophthalmology experience preferred.
