Job Title: PreSales Engineer

Division/Department: Rovema NA / Sales

Location: Office (Norcross, GA) / Hybrid with some travel to customers and Rovema Germany

Office hours 9am – 5pm EST

Job Description Summary: This role provides valuable sales and engineering support to the Sales and Engineering teams that are responsible for delivering proposals and statements of work to existing Rovema customers and new business prospects. Rovema sells a highly engineered manufactured solution that requires the creation of detailed engineering documents using AutoCad design tools. Rovema’s Project Sales Engineer will deliver design and engineering support as well as coordinate the manufacturing specifications from Rovema HQ in Germany.


Rovema would like a highly technical person who also understands Sales and the importance of protecting margin for these projects. This requires customer facing sales skills and helping customers see the business value of our proposals. The Project Sales Engineer will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and will be directly communicating with customers throughout the sales process. The design process requires back and forth communication between Rovema NA, the customer and Rovema Germany.


Activities include creation and review/edit of project documentation, ERP data entry and CRM data entry for forecasting, development and edits of customer quotes and proposals, and project accounting to ensure timely billing sheet turnaround on all projects.

Primary Accountabilities for Project Sales Engineer –

  • Entering bids for quote, maintaining quote request log, folders, and project specifications
  • Sorting orders, and maintaining order log, folders, and specifications
  • Clearly understand financial reporting
  • Interact with accounting, shipping, and project management to help secure the contracts and orders for projects in a timely fashion.
  • Responds to Project Management and Accounting requests in timely manner
  • Coordinate requests with ROVEMA Germany SA as well as communicate internally with Engineering, Operations, Accounting and Service
  • Understand Install, Training and Commissioning requirements of each project

  • Assist sales representatives to support sales in the winning of sales orders / project activity
  • Work with Germany SA to support / maintain CRM activity

Internally Focused Activities

  • Coordinates with Sales and PM regarding project release in ERP
  • Establish and maintain quote / project folders and documentation

  • Ability to work in a deadline environment
  • Proficient at preparation and follow up
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete them accurately and on time
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn and use ERP program
  • Ability to learn and use CRM program (Microsoft Dynamics)


Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation:

This role includes a salary based on experience plus Health, Vision and Dental benefits included. Participation in the company 401K and matching program. Mileage and travel expense reimbursement. Cell phone allowance or a company cell phone will be provided.
