We are looking for a dependable, skilled mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of equipment. This position is ideal for someone looking for weekend and part time work, with flexible hours and the opportunity to be a valuable part of our growing business.
Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on a variety of equipment, including Excavators, Skid steers, Heavy duty diesel trucks, Trailers, Small gasoline engines and tools, Pumps, compactors, and other Construction equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and gasoline engine issues
- Repair and service brakes, undercarriages, hoses and attachments
- Help keep equipment reliable, safe, and job ready
- Maintain an organized and clean shop/ work area
- Identify needed parts and assist with ordering when necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience working on small engines through heavy equipment
- Knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose problems and work independently
- Welding/ Fabrication experience is a plus
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Must take pride in quality work and keeping equipment in top condition
