What are the responsibilities and job description for the FedEx Delivery Driver position at Route Elite?
LC Parham, Inc., is a FedEx Ground and Home Delivery contractor in Lincolnton and Newton, NC. Our goal is to make every FedEx experience outstanding. Our team of professional drivers provides excellent delivery services safely, friendly, and efficiently. We strive to be a company where everyone prospers and enjoys coming to work every day.
We are looking for drivers who want to be in a customer-oriented, and team-minded environment. Candidates must manage a delivery route safely, efficiently, positively, and professionally. Important characteristics being sought are reliability, maturity, and motivation.
Our routes cover Rutherford County and Wilkes County.
Responsibilities:
- ∙ Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to designated locations.
- ∙ Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- ∙ Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to optimize delivery routes.
- ∙ Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with recipients.
- ∙ Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues or discrepancies.
- ∙ Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
Pay Structure:
- ∙ $150-$160 per day plus production
- ∙ Weekly pay (direct deposit)
- ∙ Opportunity for pay increases based on driver performance and route assignment
- ∙ Training pay is different
Work Schedule:
- ∙ Delivery Days: Monday through Saturday, average 8-12 hours
- ∙ Full-time
- ∙ Required - 2 Saturdays a month
Job Criteria: This fast-paced job requires some heavy lifting and the ability to safely drive a 12’ box truck or similar truck/van. Interaction with customers and team members requires a friendly and professional demeanor.
Delivery Driver experience not required, but preferred. CDL not required.
Please ensure you meet the following MUST criteria before applying:
- ∙ 21 years of age or older
- ∙ Valid Driver's License
- ∙ Ability to drive a 12’ box truck or similar truck/van
- ∙ Legal work status (e-Verify)
- ∙ Pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- ∙ Pass criminal background check (no felony convictions)
- ∙ Pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check (two or fewer MVR violations in last 3 years)
- ∙ Cellphone with text and data capabilities
- ∙ Basic computer and GPS navigation skills
- ∙ Physical ability to regularly lift 50lb packages and maneuver up to 150lbs (hand trucks)
- ∙ Ability to drive/work in all types of weather conditions
- ∙ Ability to problem solve and self-manage delivery route
- ∙ Ability to interact with business/residential customers and team members in a professional manner
- ∙ Ability to be flexible and handle a stressful workload
- ∙ Ability to follow SAFETY regulations and practice SAFETY
- ∙ Ability to follow standard delivery protocols and operating procedures as instructed
