Overview
We are a small, team-oriented automotive repair shop with three technicians. The service advisor plays an important role in keeping communication clear between customers and technicians while helping the shop run smoothly day to day.
Service Advisor Responsibilities
- Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns
- Communicate recommended repairs and provide estimates
- Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs
- Order parts from suppliers and dealerships as needed
- Manage repair orders and maintain accurate records
- Help keep the daily workflow organized so vehicles move efficiently through the shop
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience with Tekmetric or similar shop management software preferred
- Previous experience as a service advisor, service writer, or related automotive role preferred
- Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair processes
- Familiarity with dealership or independent shop operations is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving shop environment
- Comfortable handling customer payments and basic administrative tasks
