Service Advisor – Dealership Experience Required
We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team. At our dealership, customers come first. We are looking for motivated individuals who are committed to ensuring every customer leaves completely satisfied—and eager to recommend us to their friends and family.
As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for greeting customers and providing an initial evaluation of their vehicle to determine needed services and repairs. You will play a key role as the liaison between the technician and the customer, ensuring clear communication regarding necessary vehicle repairs, safety needs, and maintenance recommendations so customers feel confident their investment stays on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and technician to ensure all concerns and service needs are clearly understood and communicated
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and help identify, confirm, and resolve their concerns
- Perform initial vehicle evaluations and recommend necessary services and repairs
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing documentation and explaining provisions and exclusions
- Develop accurate estimates, including parts, labor, and applicable deductibles
- Prepare and manage repair orders (ROs), including documenting concerns, required services, and obtaining approvals
- Communicate additional repair or maintenance needs based on vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate customer records and build strong, lasting customer relationships
- Administer manufacturer warranties for qualifying repairs
- Keep customers informed of service progress, completion times, and costs
- Consult with customers on available service specials and recommendations
