The Associate Category Manager role is responsible for supporting the category manager merchandising organization and leadership with data driven insights, that support Rouses strategy and objectives. This role is a newly created position that is responsible for driving transformational analytic capabilities, enabling stronger business performance. In this role you will develop skill sets and deliver category responsibilities that help drive our customer strategies and retail performance. You will work closely with the merchandising organization to understand needs and requirements and learn to develop your skill set of category management and focus for impactful insights with the use of advanced analytic approaches. This role is a strategic part of our long-term strategy and will enable an opportunity for you to develop and growth within the organization. The position reports to the director of the business unit you manage within the merchandising team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Develop relationships with vendor community through top2top meetings.

· Leverage sales analytics to identify and act on key insights to drive sales growth.

· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of sales analytics initiatives.

· Monitor and report on sales analytics performance metrics and initiatives.

· Stay up to date on the latest market trends.

· Help develop, train, and maintain performance at the analyst level.

· Fill in for analyst functions when needed to help support business units.

· Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of sales analytics initiatives.

· Ensure data integrity and accuracy of data.

· Develop presentations and materials to communicate sales analytics insights to senior leaders.

· Able to lead process with minimal direction.

Qualifications:

3 years in retail leadership and or Bachelor's Degree Preferred

3 years of experience with responsibility for profit and loss in Category &/or Store Departments

Deep knowledge of the retail store business

3 years of experience with retail pricing, analytics, and merchandising

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to travel, as required (25%)

Retail store experience preferred

Analytic experience preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems, especially Excel

Strong analytical skills; experience with internal and external source data such as Nielsen, IRI, Spectra.

Must be able to work weekdays and be available weekends when required

Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical Requirements:

Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
