individual is self-motivated and requires limited direction to achieve their objectives. The position reports to the Grocery Director.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the Dairy and center-store Frozen Department teams to achieve sales and labor targets
- Guaranteeing a remarkable shopping environment including: friendly and helpful center-store team members who deliver
exceptional customer service experiences, fresh products, impeccable safety and cleanliness conditions, in-stock merchandise
and accurate pricing/signing
- Communicating effectively with customers, team members, store management and other Rouses business partners and vendors
- Training and coaching Dairy and Frozen team members
- Performing team member performance conversations
- Understanding and implementing freshness/code dating standards
- Supervising completion of required department activities, such as ordering, product rotation, shrink, cooler and freezer
organization, price checks, transfers, and maintaining safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards
- Contacting vendors to request credits or other needs
- Following merchandising direction and creating visually appealing displays
- Maintaining advertised item in-stocks to maximize sales
- Monitoring use and maintenance of store equipment and facilities, communicating temperature failure issues immediately
- Using web apps to access reports, email and other systems
- Completing required paperwork, forms, etc. accurately and on time
- Supporting new store openings, as directed
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of retail grocery products and operations
1 years of experience in a retail grocery, dairy or frozen department
1 years of experience in a team leadership role
Able to work a flexible schedule
Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Able to distinguish product quality and freshness standards
Able to stoop, squat, reach and maneuver to move product, boxes, bags, shelving, carts and equipment
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
