Overview
Rourke Fine Home Building is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Carpenter Apprentice/Laborer to join our team building high-end custom homes throughout New Hampshire's Lakes Region. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe, clean, and organized jobsites while assisting experienced carpenters throughout every phase of construction. Whether you have previous construction experience or are looking to start a career in the trades, we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and pride in producing quality work. Responsibilities
- Assist experienced carpenters with all phases of high-end residential construction
- Perform general labor, framing, exterior trim, interior trim, siding, decking, and finish carpentry tasks as directed
- Load, unload, move, and organize building materials and equipment
- Assist with deliveries, material staging, and jobsite setup
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
- Perform daily jobsite cleanup and debris removal
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow construction plans, instructions, and company safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the construction team to complete projects on schedule
- Complete assigned tasks with quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Perform other duties as needed to support the construction team
Qualifications
- Previous construction or labor experience is preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate
- Dependable, punctual, hardworking, and self-motivated
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow direction, communicate effectively, and work well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable transportation required (truck preferred)
- Basic hand tools required
- References required
