About the Role:
The Utility Data Specialist plays a key role in the district’s energy management and conservation efforts. This position is responsible for overseeing utility data, ensuring accuracy in consumption and cost reporting, and serving as the district liaison with utility providers. The role combines administrative and technical functions, supporting sustainability goals, budget management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage the EPA Energy Star Portfolio Manager, entering monthly data and generating efficiency and carbon footprint reports.
- Conduct monthly audits of utility invoices, resolve discrepancies, and prepare energy report cards for campuses and the district.
- Serve as the district’s point of contact with utility providers and Municipal Utility Districts.
- Support energy procurement, budgeting, reporting, and RFP processes.
- Provide training to campus administrators on energy management policies and procedures.
- Assist with facility use rental program and HVAC scheduling as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel and staff to ensure effective energy management practices.
