The Role
We are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to design, test, and deliver advanced electronic hardware for next-generation secure communication systems. You will take projects from requirements and schematic design through to prototyping, validation, and production release, while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. This is a hands-on role with scope for leadership, technical depth, and innovation.
What You’ll Do as the Senior Hardware Engineer
- Lead hardware design activities: component selection, schematic capture, board layout, and review.
- Build, test, and debug prototypes; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support system integration with firmware/software and FPGA teams.
- Develop and execute verification and validation plans to meet industry standards.
- Create documentation (BOMs, test results, design reviews) to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in design and testing.
What You Bring as the Senior Hardware Engineer
- B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- 6–10 years of hardware development experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics.
- Strong expertise in digital systems, verification, and qualification processes.
- Hands-on skills with FPGAs (Xilinx, Microchip), microcontrollers, and ARM processors.
- Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, T1).
- Skilled in hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and ability to present technical findings to stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers and guiding projects through full lifecycle.
