Restaurant General Manager
Help Lead the Next Chapter of a Local BBQ Institution
We’re looking for a strong leader to help guide an established barbecue restaurant through an exciting relaunch and growth phase.
This is more than a traditional restaurant management position. We’re seeking someone who wants to help build systems, develop people, improve operations, and contribute to the long-term success of the business. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with ownership and play a significant role in shaping the future direction of the restaurant.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop front-of-house team members
- Create employee schedules and manage labor costs
- Provide leadership and direction to shift managers and kitchen leadership
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
- Address employee performance concerns and recognize strong performance
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are consistently completed
- Develop and improve operational systems and processes
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
- Coordinate catering orders, events, and special functions
- Step into operational roles when needed to support the team
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives exceptional service and hospitality
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
- Build strong relationships with customers and the local community
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and overall guest satisfaction
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels
- Order food, beverages, and operational supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and control waste
- Assist in managing profitability through labor and cost controls
- Review operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Safety & Facility Management
- Ensure compliance with all health department and food safety standards
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees and guests
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of restaurant equipment and facilities
- Protect company assets through proper procedures and oversight
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant management experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and labor controls
- Proven ability to coach and develop team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build and grow a business
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
