Lead the Project From Customer Conversation to Field Completion
Roto Rooter is looking for an Excavation Field Supervisor who can combine strong customer relationship and sales skills with hands-on knowledge of excavation, construction, underground utilities, or related field operations.
This is not strictly a crew supervisor position. You will meet with customers, evaluate their property and project needs, develop solutions, help secure work, and then oversee the field teams responsible for completing those projects.
Your earning potential is tied to both sales performance and the successful performance of the work being completed, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a project from the initial customer conversation through completion.
What You'll Do

Meet with residential and commercial customers to evaluate excavation, underground utility, plumbing, and property needs

Build relationships with customers and help identify the right solution for their project

Explain project recommendations, scope, pricing, and expectations in a clear and professional manner

Prepare or assist with estimates and proposals for excavation and related projects

Follow up with prospective customers and help convert opportunities into scheduled work

Develop relationships with contractors, builders, property managers, municipalities, and other potential referral partners

Coordinate sold projects with excavation crews and internal team members

Supervise and provide direction to field teams completing assigned projects

Monitor project progress, productivity, workmanship, and overall crew performance

Ensure crews understand project scope, customer expectations, and job requirements

Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, scheduling, and other field resources

Identify job-site challenges and help develop practical solutions

Monitor projects for quality, efficiency, safety, and profitability

Communicate with customers throughout the project and address questions or concerns

Identify additional customer needs or project opportunities when appropriate

Maintain accurate communication regarding project changes, additional work, and job progress

Take ownership of customer satisfaction from the initial consultation through project completion
What We're Looking For
Qualified candidates should have:

Experience in excavation, underground utilities, plumbing, construction, site development, heavy civil work, or a closely related field

Experience in field supervision, project coordination, construction leadership, sales, estimating, or account management

Strong ability to communicate with customers and build trusted relationships

Compensation
