Production Technician (Fabrication)

Overview:

Roto-Rooter Corporation is looking for a Production Technician at our facility in Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, cut, bend, drill, grind, and assemble metal components according to production specifications and drawings.
• Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, presses, drill presses, grinders, and other machinery as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
• Inspect completed parts for quality, accuracy, and consistency with established standards.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain fabrication equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and minimizing material waste.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, production delays, and quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all company safety procedures.
• Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and inventory teams to ensure parts are completed on time.
• Assist with welding, assembly, material handling, and other manufacturing tasks as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully along with the following:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training
