The Horizontal Pump Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of horizontal pumping systems utilized in oilfield production, saltwater disposal, transfer, and facility operations. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in both shop and field environments.
Equipment Service & Repair- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on horizontal pumping systems, including pumps, motors, bearings, seals, couplings, and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational failures in pumping systems.
- Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, and performance issues.
- Replace failed components and restore equipment to operational condition.
- Assist with rebuilding and refurbishing horizontal pumps and related equipment.
- Assist in the installation, startup, and commissioning of rental and permanent horizontal pumping systems.
- Verify proper alignment, rotation, and operating parameters during startup.
- Conduct performance testing and document operating conditions.
- Ensure installations meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Respond to customer service calls and emergency breakdowns.
- Diagnose equipment issues on-site and provide timely corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate service reports and communicate findings to customers and management.
- Support customers with operational troubleshooting and technical recommendations.
- Adhere to all company, customer, and industry safety requirements.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings and safety programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the shop and field.
- Properly utilize required PPE and safety equipment.
- Track parts used during repairs and installations.
- Complete service tickets, inspection forms, and maintenance records accurately and timely.
- Assist in maintaining shop inventory and equipment readiness.
