Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tool Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of tools used in automotive, heavy machinery, and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that tools are restored to optimal working condition, supporting our service operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues with hand tools and power tools.
- Repair and refurbish tools and equipment, including soldering, electrical repairs, and mechanical adjustments
- Perform routine maintenance on tools to prevent future failures and extend their lifespan
- Use specialized equipment such as soldering irons, power tools, and diagnostic devices to complete repairs accurately
- Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each tool or piece of equipment
- Assist in inventory management by tracking parts and ensuring the availability of necessary repair supplies
Requirements
- Proven experience in tool repair with a strong background in service technician roles
- Proficiency reading technical manuals for electrical tool repair
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, soldering techniques, and mechanical repair methods
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and maintain clean work area
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and computer knowledge required
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when needed. Bilingual a plus.
