Job Summary:
We are looking for a positive, hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead our team and support day-to-day shop operations. The ideal candidate has prior experience in food service (ice cream preferred), enjoys leading others, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. You’ll assist in everything from managing shifts to training team members, handling inventory, and creating a clean, inviting shop atmosphere.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience through friendly service and high standards
- Handle customer questions, special requests, and resolve any issues with professionalism
- Help with onboarding and training new team members
- Monitor cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with health regulations
- Support inventory tracking, restocking, and ordering supplies
- Assist with scheduling, shift planning, and team deployment
- Open and close the shop as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous food service or restaurant experience (ice cream shop experience is a big plus!)
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Dependable, upbeat, and able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation required
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
