Summary
The Revenue Cycle Data Integration Analyst supports the extraction, transformation, and delivery of reliable revenue cycle data to enable financial and operational reporting across the organization. This role works closely with revenue cycle leadership, finance teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure data from billing, claims, coding, and vendor systems is accurately integrated into the organization’s SQL-based enterprise data warehouse and Microsoft Fabric analytics environments and ensure that data structures and workflows are well-documented. The analyst plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing ETL processes, supporting data integrations from vendor systems, and applying business logic to create analytics‑ready datasets. This includes validating financial and claims data, reconciling results to source systems, and proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues. The role emphasizes SQL, ETL workflows, and Microsoft Fabric ingestion patterns to ensure consistency, scalability, and trust in analytics. While not primarily a reporting role, the position also supports revenue cycle reporting and analytics by contributing to Power BI dashboards used to monitor HFMA key performance indicators, claim denials, claim edits, and performance metrics. The analyst is expected to understand reporting requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and support operational and executive decision‑making. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of healthcare revenue cycle data, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders.
The starting annual salary for this position is $91,298 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
The ideal candidate has experience supporting healthcare revenue cycle data analytics across the claims, billing, and denials lifecycle, with an emphasis on preparing reliable, analytics‑ready datasets. Familiarity with revenue cycle workflows, HFMA key performance indicators, payer denials and claim edits is preferred. Strong proficiency with SQL-based enterprise data warehouses is essential. The candidate must be comfortable writing, optimizing, and maintaining moderately complex SQL queries to support data integration, validation, and downstream consumption. This includes working with large datasets, applying transformational business logic, reconciling data against source applications, and investigating data anomalies or data quality issues. The position emphasizes data integration and ETL support. Preferred candidates have experience extracting data from vendor systems and supporting transformation and load processes for enterprise analytics. Familiarity with PHP or Python-based ETL processes is beneficial for maintaining existing jobs. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric is strongly preferred, including working with data pipelines, dataflows, lakehouses, and warehouses. A solid understanding of ETL concepts such as incremental loading, dependency management, refresh orchestration, and error handling is expected. Power BI experience is preferred, but secondary to data engineering skills with a focus is on enabling accurate and trusted reporting rather than advanced visualization. Candidates should be able to work with existing semantic models, develop or update DAX measures, and update operational dashboards used by business teams. The successful candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to handle multiple requests concurrently. Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with finance, revenue cycle, and IT partners in a healthcare environment are essential.
