Summary
Join Roswell Park as a Endoscope Reprocessing Technician! This position is responsible for handling and processing instruments and scopes in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and policies and procedures. This role includes inspecting and ensuring that all scopes are in proper working condition, performing periodic endoscope testing to support quality assurance, and adhering to strict infection control protocols for endoscope and accessory processing. Additional responsibilities include occasionally transporting specimens and supplies as directed by a Registered Nurse, performing endoscopy room cleaning and disinfection after contaminated cases, and maintaining general unit supplies to support efficient department operations.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with processing endoscopes, including advanced scopes such as EUS, EBUS, and ERCP. Familiarity with high-level disinfection procedures is highly valued to ensure patient safety and equipment integrity. Candidates with recent or current experience at Roswell Park are preferred, as well as those with recent operating room or endoscopy/procedural experience. Additionally, experience in coordinating and scheduling within a clinical or procedural setting is desirable, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
