Essential Job Functions And Duties
- Supervisory Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Planning and organizing daily department production schedules
- Ensure KPI reporting
- POC for production team members
- Assessing project and resource requirements and reporting deficits to the Plant Manager.
- Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on timescales with stakeholders (Production staff)
- Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are met
- Oversight of quality control standards
- Oversight of production processes
- Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
- Supervising the work of junior staff
- Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
- Organizing relevant training sessions
- Communicate any problems or obstacles to management
- Troubleshoot composite issues, both internally and externally, and report to the Plant Manager.
- Assist with the creation of work instructions
- Strive for continuous improvement in efficiency and quality
- Product and process testing and implementation
- Back all production areas within the department when needed to ensure efficient workflow
- 10 years of experience in Composites Manufacturing and/or Composites Industry
- Recommended 5 years in a supervisory capacity
- Strong working knowledge of composite chemistry
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong working knowledge of lien fundamentals
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP software
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis, as well as in a group setting
- Proficient in Google Drive and/or Microsoft Office

- Normal shop hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM. The company office hours are Monday Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM, this position will spend the time necessary to accomplish work goals production hours
- Background - Acceptable background check for new hires.
