We're seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Bus Aide to support the safe transportation of students with disabilities to and from Rossford Junior-Senior High School.
Working alongside the bus driver, the Special Education Bus Aide helps provide a safe, respectful, and supportive transportation experience for students with a variety of needs, ensuring they arrive at school ready to learn and return home safely each day.
What You'll Do
- Assist students with disabilities as they board, ride, and exit the bus.
- Provide supervision and support throughout transportation.
- Help maintain a safe, calm, respectful, and positive environment on the bus.
- Follow students' individualized transportation, behavioral, and health plans as directed.
- Support students with a variety of physical, developmental, behavioral, and medical needs.
- Communicate effectively with the bus driver and school staff.
- Respond appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations while prioritizing safety at all times.
