Key Essential Functions/Duties:
- Develop and maintain daily finite and weekly master production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and labor by leading weekly scheduling meetings and bi-weekly MPS reviews.
- Support the SIOP process through the execution of the master production schedule, and escalating large demand changes.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, equipment issues, or changes in demand.
- Manage subcomponent inventory.
- Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders, including internal and external customers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in scheduling practices.
- Ensure demand and the plan of work are accurately represented in the ERP/MRP systems to manage scheduling and reporting, and to reflect accurate material needs.
- Prepare reports on production efficiency, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize production planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability, leveraging technology and best practices to drive improvements in optimization and supply chain performance.
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management and logistics coordination.
