ABOUT ROSIE'S RECOVERY CENTER
Rosie's Recovery Center, LLC is a Joint Commission-accredited, COMAR 10.63.03-licensed, and Community Mental Health Center in Parkville, Maryland. We operate eight programs spanning substance use disorder treatment, outpatient mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, and withdrawal management, serving adults and minors throughout Baltimore County.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Medical Director we hire will be a cornerstone of our clinical team. You will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management across our OMHC, SUD, and MAT programs serving clients who are often underinsured, multiply diagnosed, and navigating recovery from some of the hardest circumstances a human being can face.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adults and minors across OMHC, SUD, and co-occurring disorder programs
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics, and sleep medications in accordance with evidence-based practice and Maryland prescriptive authority
- Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), naltrexone (Vivitrol), and other FDA-approved MAT medications per current DEA and SAMHSA guidelines
- Conduct Withdrawal Management assessments and provide medical oversight for ambulatory withdrawal clients (ASAM 1-WM and 2-WM), including CIWA-Ar and COWS administration and taper protocol management
- Collaborate with therapists, CADC counselors, PRP staff, and case managers to ensure coordinated, integrated treatment planning across programs
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute a psychiatric perspective to individualized treatment plan development
- Perform psychiatric assessments for level-of-care determinations, admission authorizations, and utilization review as needed
- Provide on-call psychiatric consultation to clinical staff for urgent medication questions and psychiatric emergencies during agreed-upon hours
- Maintain timely documentation in the EHR per COMAR, TJC, BHA standards, psychiatric evaluation notes, medication management notes, and MAT documentation
- Conduct medication education with clients and families, including benefits, risks, alternatives, and expectations
- Coordinate with outside prescribers, PCPs, pharmacies, and inpatient psychiatry units as clinically indicated
- Comply with all DEA regulations, Maryland Board of Nursing requirements, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active, unrestricted CRNP license in good standing Maryland Board of Nursing (required)
- Full prescriptive authority in Maryland active Prescriptive Authority Agreement (PAA) or collaborative practice agreement in place or in process (required)
- Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration prior to start date (required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or a related setting
- Comfortable treating adults' experience with minors is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-program outpatient environment with a diverse clinical population
- Strong documentation skills, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management notes within required timeframes
- Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 as they apply to behavioral health records
- Commitment to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, person-centered care
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMHNP-BC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification (American Nurses Credentialing Center)
- Experience prescribing buprenorphine/naloxone or naltrexone for opioid or alcohol use disorder
- Experience in a substance use disorder treatment, withdrawal management, or MAT clinic setting
- Familiarity with ASAM criteria and behavioral health level-of-care determinations
- Experience in a Joint Commission-accredited or Community Mental Health Center setting
- Bilingual English/Spanish Baltimore County has a significant Spanish-speaking population we are working to serve them better.
- Experience providing telehealth psychiatric services using a HIPAA-compliant platform
- Familiarity with the Maryland Board of Nursing CRNP prescriptive authority regulations
