Freight Coordinator

Role Overview

This position involves dispatching and routing drivers for efficient transportation operations, coordinating with various teams to ensure timely load preparation, and tracking shipments in real-time. The role requires serving as the main contact for drivers, communicating service issues proactively, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, dispatch, and monitor drivers to optimize routes and reduce costs.
• Adjust schedules promptly in response to delays or issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and logistics teams for smooth operations.
• Provide real-time shipment updates and resolve service problems.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records in the system.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in transportation, dispatching, or logistics preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Positive team attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and Microsoft Office.
  
  

Physical & Other Requirements

Lift up to 15 lbs, sit for extended periods, and perform computer-based tasks.
