Automotive Service Technician

Role Overview: The General Service Technician supports vehicle maintenance in a hands-on shop environment, performing oil changes, tire services, inspections, and basic repairs. This entry-level position emphasizes learning foundational skills, safety procedures, and shop operations while working collaboratively with experienced technicians and staff.

Responsibilities Include

• Performing tire mounting, balancing, and rotation services.
• Conducting oil changes, fluid checks, and replacing filters, batteries, bulbs, and wipers.
• Completing digital vehicle inspections and documenting repair orders accurately.
• Identifying safety concerns, communicating findings, and conducting safety and emission inspections as permitted.
• Maintaining cleanliness of customer vehicles, shop, and work areas.
• Transporting customers and supplies, adhering to safety protocols, and using PPE.
• Collaborating with team members, accepting coaching, and participating in ongoing training.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
• Interest in automotive repair; ability to follow procedures and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a team environment.
• Preferred: high school diploma, vocational training, or relevant hands-on experience.
• Must be 18 or older and capable of lifting up to 70 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
