Cardiac Sonographer Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of experience performing cardiac diagnostic procedures and related responsibilities
• Current ARDMS - RDCS certification
• Demonstrate professionalism and effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population
• Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Must be able to pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screening and background check
• Must have a current BLS/CPR
  
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging equipment
• Perform a wide range of Echo imaging procedures, primarily in an ER environment
• Communicate pertinent clinical information and findings to the radiologist
• Provide excellent care to their patients while maintaining a good rapport and excellent service to all client hospitals and staff
• Utilize systems such as PACS systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs., including patients, portable equipment, and positioning tools
• Physical agility to bend, twist, and reposition as needed
• Endurance for prolonged standing, walking, and multiple back-to-back procedures
