Cardiac Sonographer Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of experience performing cardiac diagnostic procedures and related responsibilities
- Current ARDMS - RDCS certification
- Demonstrate professionalism and effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population.
- Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Must be able to pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screening and background check
- Must have a current BLS/CPR
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging equipment
- Perform a wide range of Echo imaging procedures, primarily in an ER environment
- Communicate pertinent clinical information and findings to the radiologist.
- Provide excellent care to their patients while maintaining a good rapport and excellent service to all client hospitals and staff.
- Utilize systems such as PACS systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs., including patients, portable equipment, and positioning tools
- Physical agility to bend, twist, and reposition as needed
- Endurance for prolonged standing, walking, and multiple back-to-back procedures
