School Bus Driver
Work Year/Hours: School Calendar/Hours Vary
Start date: Immediately
Salary: $20.73 to $22.13 in three steps ( $1.50 per hour after
the completion of the 3 endorsements - CDLB, P, and S endorsements) $22.23 to $23.63 in three steps. Probationary Period – 60 Working Days
A criminal record check, drivers record check, physical examination, and drug and alcohol test are required for all new bus drivers.
A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-BPS) is required, or applicant must be able to successfully complete the following tests:
- Passenger Endorsement Test
- Air Brake Test
- Skills Test which includes vehicle inspection, Basic Control Skills and On the Road Skills
- Beginning Bus Driver Course
- Advanced Bus Driver Course
- Any other test that may be required in the future from the federal government.
