The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in manufacturing quality control or quality assurance, including experience with product inspections, specifications, documentation, and corrective actions. We are looking for someone who can recognize quality concerns, work collaboratively to resolve issues, and help maintain the standards expected throughout our operations.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Quality Control Manager and receive hands-on training in our specific manufacturing processes, quality systems, and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure established quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Review inspection results, testing data, and quality reports to identify concerns or trends.
  • Investigate nonconforming products and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, testing documentation, and related records.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Help ensure established inspection, sampling, and testing procedures are consistently followed.
  • Assist with preparing for internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
  • Organize and maintain compliance records, audit documentation, and supporting materials.
  • Track audit findings, corrective actions, and follow-up requirements.
  • Help identify gaps in documentation, procedures, or compliance and work with the appropriate departments to address them.
  • Support compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Safety, Human Resources, and other departments to resolve quality concerns and support audit requirements.
  • Assist with employee training related to quality procedures, documentation, and established standards.
  • Support the facility's pest control program and related documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and help identify opportunities to strengthen existing processes.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Perform additional quality assurance and compliance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Business, Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a related manufacturing quality position required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Willingness to learn company-specific quality systems, compliance requirements, and procedures.
  • English required; Spanish is highly beneficial.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in paper converting, packaging, or a related manufacturing environment.
