Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in radio frequency technology with an international presence. Our products are used in wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems. We are currently seeking a Production Coordinator to join our team in Akron, PA.
This position assists the production department with the coordination of the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production work; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines to successfully meet the needs of our customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essentia Functions of the Job:Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Coordinates flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production.
- Identifies and implements Lean manufacturing principles to continually improve operational performance
- Confer with Production Manager or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
- Evaluates capacity and scheduling opportunities and coordinates with Production Manager and planning/scheduling functions to align the production line with customer needs and overall operations
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Confers with department leaders to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
- Confer with other leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments as well as remote stakeholders of the organization.
- Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to appraise production planning personnel of production delays.
- May use computer system to track and locate production units.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, work orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Other related duties and projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or degree in Business or related field desired
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- One year of ERP system experience desired
- Capacity to manage resources and activities in order to obtain results
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Experience with production work orders
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
- Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities
- Strong logic and reasoning skills with the ability to problem solve
- Solid time management skills
