POSITION SUMMARY
The Cab Electrical Technician installs and maintains 12V electrical systems in a variety of custom assemblies and chassis units. As a Cab Electrical Technician, you’ll play a critical role in bringing these trucks to life by wiring the systems that power lights, sirens, displays, and communication equipment. This role is responsible for wiring and component installation in the cab, and chassis areas - including circuit modules, relays, diodes, and heat exchangers. Additionally, you will be responsible for the installation of engine and body harnesses and apply corrosion protection and weather sealing to ensure long-term reliability. You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to solve problems and deliver dependable results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Works on the electrical components of the backend, front, and sides of the fire truck chassis.
- Installs engine, dash, and body harnesses according to the specifications.
- Installs and routes wires/cables for the installation of lights, display, switches, and heat exchange.
- Applies corrosion preventative and pressure protection to ensure longevity.
- Performs and completes tasks according to the spec book.
- Completes engine heat exchange unit installation.
- Installs foot switches, light bars, antennas, and programs then accordingly.
- Utilizes Alison and other programs to tune engine, lights, and transmission to specifications.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the company and our members.
