Job Description
Join our team as a Multimedia Technician I, where you’ll play a key role in bringing the university’s visual and technical experiences to life. Reporting to the Multimedia Manager, this position delivers high‑impact audio/visual support for classrooms and conference spaces while capturing compelling photography and video for events, portraits, and marketing. If you enjoy blending technical expertise with creative storytelling, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact across campus.
Essential Functions
- Manage and resolve service requests in the Help Desk ticketing system while maintaining accurate workflow records.
- Capture and edit headshots, event photography, and marketing visuals for university publications and digital platforms.
- Record and assist in production of video content for events, lectures, presentations, and marketing initiatives.
- Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multimedia systems, including studio lighting (Profoto/Godox), video conferencing (Zoom/Teams), and AV systems (Crestron/AMX).
- Set up and support portable video/audio systems, ID badge system, and assist with publication assembly and administrative tasks.
- Support departmental operations through equipment requests, training participation, flexible scheduling (including evenings/weekends), and other assigned duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred or equivalent work experience
- Valid Class C Driver’s license is required
- 2 years’ experience in professional photography and video required
- Submit a current portfolio of relevant work.
