This isn't a typical insurance job. Rosella is a venture-backed commercial insurance brokerage building the AI infrastructure that will power how businesses buy insurance. If you want to be considered, please send me a 1-minute video about yourself. This is is a knockout to save the army of AI agents about to destroy this listing.
What you'll actually do
You'll produce. Outbound, every day. But not the way you're used to.
We've built proprietary data models that identify the best leads before you pick up the phone. Our technology handles the back-office work you hate, the ACORD forms, the submission formatting, the follow-up scheduling, so you spend your time doing the one thing that matters: talking to business owners and closing deals.
You'll work directly with carriers, wholesalers, and MGAs across transportation, construction, hospitality, security, and entertainment. You'll build a book. You'll own it.
Who this is for
You've spent 1-2 years in commercial insurance. Preferably as a broker. Maybe you're underwriting at a carrier and you're tired of being behind a desk. Maybe you're at a captive or an independent agency and you've hit a ceiling. Either way, you know what a loss run is, you've read a dec page, and you can talk to a business owner about their coverage.
Minimum requirements:
1-2 years in commercial insurance (underwriting, brokerage, or agency)
Active Texas P&C license (or ability to obtain before start)
You understand commercial lines — GL, property, auto, WC, umbrella
Strong preference for:
Experience at an independent brokerage or wholesale market
Existing carrier or MGA relationships
Someone who's placed E&S risk and knows the wholesale channel
Why this is different from where you are now
Equity. You're not just earning commission — you're building ownership in a company that's scaling fast. This is part of your compensation, not a vague future promise.
Technology that actually works. We're not handing you a desk phone and a phonebook. Our AI and data tools find the prospects, qualify the leads, and automate the paperwork. You sell. The machine does the rest.
A team that will push you. This is an in-office role in Austin with people who came from investment banking, management consulting, and software. We're building something that hasn't existed before. If you want comfortable, this isn't it. If you want to be at the forefront of where the industry is going, keep reading.
Our entire company depends on you. That's not a motivational poster — it's the truth. We've raised capital from serious investors who are betting that we can validate this model. The producer is the person who proves it works. Every policy you bind is evidence that the thesis is right.
Base salary: $50,000 – $100,000 depending on experience
Commission: Uncapped, paid on new and renewal business
Equity: Yes — you're an owner, not just an employee
Health, dental, and vision insurance
PTO and paid holidays
Who you are
You're the person at your current agency who's frustrated that the technology is from 2005, the leads are recycled, and nobody around you has any urgency. You want to build something. You want to be in a room with people who work as hard as you do. You don't need to be managed — you need to be unleashed.
Salary : $50,000 - $100,000
