What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Teacher School Aged position at Rose Valley Friends Church Child Care?
Rose Valley Friends Church Child Care is a non-profit, Christian childcare located in Kelso. We are committed to supporting families by providing quality child care. We promote growth of the whole child (physical, mental, emotional/social, and spiritual) by providing a loving, safe, nurturing, and respectful environment. Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
- Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the center.
- Must be a nurturing, friendly and dependable person.
- Minimum age 18
- Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum and assess the needs of students after training.
- Demonstrated dependability through good attendance and punctuality
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum age 18
- CPR and Food handler's card necessary
- Willing to complete STARS 30 hour basic training and 10 hours of training each year after
- Willing to complete ECE degree
- Strong communication skills
- Meets minimum preparation and experience required for certification as an Early Childhood Education teacher. Complies with all state education and licensing standards, and maintains validation of credentials for the position including passing a background check
- Must be available 6 am to 6 pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.70 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
